I always knew I wanted to be a journalist. With my first byline secured at a local newspaper, aged just 16, it was all the confirmation I needed that a career in publishing was worth pursuing.

I was fresh out of university when I landed a full-time job as a Features Writer for a group of regional lifestyle magazines. During this time, I interviewed and met inspiring individuals, visited beautiful destinations, dined at incredible restaurants and experienced opportunities that don’t come around very often. Flying a helicopter is certainly up there as one of the best!

Several years later, curious as to what else the publishing industry had to offer beyond magazines, I moved into the world of academic publishing. Here, I worked my way up the ranks for a scholarly publisher of journals and books.
